Description
Revered by both professional chefs and home cooks since its 1925 debut, Le Creuset's classic French cookware is prized for its utilitarian good looks, unsurpassed heat retention, and lids that create an even "blanket" of heat. Cast iron round Dutch oven is clad in smooth, vitrified porcelain (here in vibrant tropical blue), rendering each piece impervious to acid, alkali, odors and stains. The addition of the Dutch oven's lid allows the heat to surround the food, cooking it evenly; the close fit makes the Dutch oven suitable for braising and keeping foods warm. The rim of each pan has a specially designed "all-round" lip for drip-free pouring with the right or left hand. Non-reactive cooking surface does not require seasoning. Compatible with all types of heat sources, from gas and electric stoves, to ceramic and glass cooktops, to induction and halogen—even solid fuel and open fire. This Signature line features larger, easier-to-grip handles and a more heat-resistant knob.
